It is a well-known fact that majority of us will experience some form of gum disease at some point within our lifetime. However, there are steps and measures that can be taken to prevent gum disease. The major and leading cause of gum disease is related to plaque building up within your teeth and your gums. When it comes to gum disease prevention it is very important to be sure that you are brushing your teeth at least twice a day. Also, you should be sure that you are using the proper tooth brushing technique. This includes brushing to remove plaque or food from in between your gums and teeth.

Flossing
Also, when it comes to gum disease prevention it is equally important to be sure that you are flossing at least twice a day and doing so to remove the food particles that can get lodged in between your teeth. Also, with flossing you are trying to target the hard to reach areas your toothbrush can’t get to scrub.

Mouthwash
Swish with a mouthwash regularly in order to remove any remaining debris that got through your flossing and tooth brushing. Also, mouth helps to eliminate a lot of the bacteria in your mouth.
